2015 & 2011: MISTRA Future Fashion, Sweden

Dr. Dorothy Maxwell was on the advisory board for the Mistra Future Fashion programme which aims to create sustainable systemic change of the Swedish fashion industry.

 


2010: UK Department of the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, Targeting Environmental Improvement in High Impact Products and Services

To inform Defra’s sustainable products strategy, this project determined the high environmental impact product groups to target, key influencers within these, the status of existing activities and next steps to support business’s in these groups improve their environmental performance.

 


2010 UK Department of the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs Technical Advisor PAS2050

DEFRA

Defra's Technical Advisor on the development (2009) and revision (2011) of the UK Carbon Footprint standard PAS2050 which uses a life cycle approach to measuring Greenhouse Gas Emissions of products and services.

 


2010: UK Waste and Resources Action Programme: Sustainable Clothing and Textiles-Status and Opportunities

DEFRA

Project to identify the current status of sustainability in apparel/textiles and opportunities for maximising environmental improvements in support the Sustainable Clothing Action Plan run by the UK Waste and Resources Action Programme (WRAP).

 


2011: UK Department of the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs: Review of Energy Related Products (ERP) to support development of non-energy related implementing measures

DEFRA

In support of the EU Ecodesign of Energy Related Products (ERP) legislation, this project identified opportunities for ecodesign beyond energy-in-use for consumer electronics. I also assessed the feasibility of measures to incorporate these in future ERP legislation and wider instruments. Dorothy Maxwell led the GVSS team and was supported by partners Fraunhofer IZM and Collingwood Environmental Planning. This was presented at the IEEE International Conference on Consumer Electronics, 2011

 


2007: UK Department of the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs: Environmental Impacts and Interventions of TVs

DEFRA

For Defra’s Energy Using Products programme and TVs Roadmap, this is a review of evidence on the life cycle environmental impacts of TVs.

 


2005: European Commission: Ecodesign in Electronics Awareness Raising Campaign for SMEs across the EU

For DG Enterprise, this is an online information and toolbox of ecodesign supports for the SME electronics industry developed with Fraunhofer IZM
